Halfords Group is the UK’s leading provider of motoring and cycling products and services. Halfords is also the country’s leading retailer of electric bikes and e-scooters.

The group is a major employer, with more than 10,000 staff working from 404 stores and 374 garages, as well as mobile service and commercial vans. The Sunday Times has recognised Halfords as one of the best 25 companies to work for in the UK.

Halfords was named as an essential retailer at the start of the coronavirus, helping people stay fit and get frontline workers to and from work safely. For example, we have been offering free 10-point car health checks and bike services for NHS staff and other key workers to make sure their vehicles remain in good working order.

Halfords has also been supporting the Prime Minister’s ambition to foster “a new golden age of cycling”, with the award-winning Get Back on a Bike campaign. The company is the market-leading provider of the Cycle 2 Work scheme and in Fix Your Bike vouchers.

Halfords signed up to the Ministry of Defence’s Armed Forces Covenant in 2019 and has since recruited 79 military veterans through the scheme. Service leavers who meet minimum requirements for a chosen role are guaranteed interviews to help with what can be a difficult transition to civilian life. In addition, Halfords allocates 10 days of additional unpaid leave for reservists and provides a range of offers for those serving in the armed forces.
